2 Keepers.

new left back and a new centre back imo thats just as cover though i personally think Ifil's time has come to move on.

Left and right winger and maybe two centre midfielders would love to keep otj and i suppose two/3 new strikers.

Fitton would hate me as a manager as i want to go shopping and would imagine wilson does aswell. On a side note i really hope we get to see the youngsters against peterborough and see what they got

ideally two players for each position

Phil Smith
Another

Kevin Amankwaah
Jack Smith
Sean Morrison
Gordon Greer
Another
Another/Ifil
Jamie Vincent
Callum Kennedy
Another because Kennedy isnt proved and Vincents injury record isnt brilliant

JPM
Another
Timlin
OTJ
Another
Another
McNamee
Another

Paynter
Another
Another
Another

Id keep Ifil if we couldnt find any better because he is a decent enough player to be a squad player here.

a fit Barry Corr (if such a thing exists) as one of the strikers because when Cox goes we will just have Paynter!

I havent counted the younger players like Thompson and Macklin who could play a part next season. Are they both still under 18 next season?

Ben Joyce also

If I could shop and get any player that is slightly realistic my squad would hopefully look something like this.

Phil Smith
Owain Fon Williams

Kevin Amankwaah
Jack Smith
Sean Morrison
Gordon Greer
Tamika Mkandawire
Chris Westwood
Jamie Vincent
Callum Kennedy
Tommy Rowe

JPM
Hal Robson-Kanu (loan)
Michael Timlin
Owain Tudor-Jones
David Noble
Another
Anthony McNamee
Jennison Myrie-Williams

Billy Paynter
Barry Corr (short term)
Simon Church (loan)
Jonathan Obika (loan)

of course thats going purely on players I know at least something about. I expect Wilson will have scouts left right and centre looking at players so there will be literally hundreds of un known players that could do a job for us.

Add say Macklin, Joyce & Thompson to that squad and it looks a decent size

Again, it makes the assumption Morrison isnt sold and Cox is....

Lost for another CM - a fit Lee Peacock? Craig Easton? Chris Allen?

all hypothetical

I think our biggest priority should be to sign Greer on a permanent, a midfield enforcer/playmaker and a 20+ goals a season striker.

Being picky, I'd say also another goalkeeper assuming one of the current two leaves, another centre-half, a left winger, a right winger and a proper target man.

I'd be quite happy to see Obika here, he's done well for the Glovers.

Signing Greer and replacing Cox are the big two signings for me. I'd like to see a fairly high profile signing to replace cox, 100-250K, a similar amount to what we paid for him. Andy Bishop, Adam Le Fondre, Tom Craddock or Billy Clarke ideally.

The rest are going to be frees, small fees or loans realistically. Another GK would be nice, especially if we can con someone into paying a fee for Brez, but we could keep the 2 we've got and bring in an actual gk coach. Shane Higgs, ex-Cheltenham now 3rd choice at Wolves would be a realistic signing, and has always been good against us.

Ifil's time has come to an end, and he'd be best served dropping a league to someone like Cheltenham or Bournemouth, somewhere localish and with a decent chance of pushing for the play-offs. With greer, morrison and aljofree, we'd then need 1 more cb, and with a lot of championship clubs reducing their budgets, players should be available. Chris Westwood is a good shout, possibly Anthony Gerrard, although he may be a tad expensive. Mkandawire would also cost a fair whack. Micheal Nelson may also be worth a shout. I know alot of people want rid of aljofree, but we have to be realistic. He's an average league 1 CB, and we haven't got the cash to go out and get three CBs that are better than him.

Amankwaah, Smith and Vincent are all worth keeping, meaning we need a quick and strong LB to complete the set. Adrian Mariappa from watford would do a job, and they might look to get rid to save some cash.

I'd love to see us seal HRK on a season long loan, but think this may only possible if Reading go up. His team-mate James Henry would also be a good signing for wide right. JPM and Macca should stay, but we need another winger to cover macca when he's having his shit days, or away from home. Myrie-Williams has never really stood out for me, but would do a job i guess. As someone else mentioned, Tommy Rowe would also be a good signing.

CM, Timlin and Easton are both worth keeping, OTJ has shown he's more than good enough for this level. Dom Blizzard is another in the enforcer role and, if reports are to be believed, stockport should sell easily. However, Huddersfield are already sniffing around.

Up top, along with Paynter and the high-profile signing I mentioned earlier, I'd bring Theo Robinson in on a season long loan and then have Razak as the fourth striker. Sam Vokes may be looking for a loan move, as he's not going to play any premiership football, but it's likely he'll only drop one level.

So my ideal realistic squad, with first 11 in bold:

Higgs
P. Smith

Amankwaah
J. Smith
Greer
Morrison
Aljofree
Nelson
Lescinel
Mariappa
Vincent

Henry
JPM
Timlin
Easton
OTJ
Blizzard
Macnamee
HRK

Paynter
Clarke

Robinson
Razak

Plus youngsters, none of whom I consider good enough yet to be part of the matchday squad on a regular basis.

Clarke is free - could be a good call but Brentford will probably want him
