On Tuesday we had 11 imposters in red. They returned after about 20 minutes today. After 20, we were in ciomplete control. Greer is class at this level and Morrison is maturing nicely along side him. Kev didn't have his best one but that may be bacause he's set a high standard recently. Jack Smith did well.
The midfield were very good. Timlin is getting better each week. Paynter had a really good first 20 of the 2nd half. Cox was great apart from one really crap effort.
Phil Smith made a good save from the free kick but was absolute dogshit other than this. his handling, distribution and decision making off his line were pure crap and if we were playing a decent side, we could have paid for it. We need 2 new keeprs next season.
Overall though we were really good. The thing I like is that we#re playing with intelligence. We've got 2 wingers and we're playing balls to them. This starts from the back where Greer and Morrison are very confident on the ball. We're a lot more patient instead of hoofing it but I do get frustrated at some fans wantng us to hoof it like a hot potato.
The first goal came as a result of a short corner and a good cross from McNamee and good header from Cox. Hereford's defence. however, was non existent for this goal. The 2nd was way offside but the lino then made up for it by cancelling out one that was onside. The 3rd goal was just generally good play.
If these imposters keep playing we might just be OK.

And I still think Phil Smith looks dodgy. He fumbled a few, his kicking was average at best and distribution non existent (ball in hands, player in space, shakes his head, waves them upfield, kicks ball to opposition / touch). Still, he kept a clean sheet again except I just worry about what will happen when a team actually has a shot.
FFS! Clean sheet. Two clean sheets on the run. And Brez has had more flaps than a porn film recently.

You remind me of the bloke who sits behind me - spent the whole first half moaning about/at Smith, shouting at him for even the slightest error etc. Then 5 minutes before half time, turns to his mate, and says in a satisfied voice "Well, that's it, Smith's got to come off, his confidence has gone."  Roll Eyes

We did a good professional job today and offside or no offside the scoreline was fair - we commanded the game and were easily three goals better than them. Feel more optimistic now than at any time since the Hartlepool game

Yay, 3 points for us. Thought it was a good performance by us and we fully deserved the points. We finallly seem to be showing some determination. As for Coxy's 2nd I don't know that much about the offside rule but even I cold tell that was off and was just waiting for the lino's flag and the refs whistle but it didn't happen!!! Oh well wr deserve some luck! Aside from that I didn't really think that Hereford looked a threat. 3 points, 3 goals and another clean sheet.

Honestly, I have a season ticket and have missed three home games all season in the League. We've won every single one of them.

I'm scheduled to work every single one of them I believe, so you might get lucky.

I've also been to three away games from which we've managed to get one point.

Touch without control of the ball = Offside
Controlled first by a Hereford player = Onside
Correct. As I said, if he gave it because of the Hereford player's touch, he made the wrong decision

Can't remember the last time I watched two consecutive games which I actually enjoyed, because of good interpassing, lots of chances, goals scored, and generally sound defence (mainly due to Greer's presence). Surprising what can be done when your job is at risk.

You should hear the guy at Supermarine!

I know him!  Sounds like a bumpkin, but he is a good bloke!

Not much to say about today that hasn't been said already except I thought Timlin was MOTM the match!  Quality in the middle, digging in some decent tackles and spraying the ball around.

And...  some of the fans in the DRS seriously wind me up!  On Smiths back from the off!  Yes he had some shakey moments, but even keepers in the prem have shakey moments.  Blimey!  0-0 in a game we need to win and they start having a go at Smith, really sensible!  FUCKING TWATS!  Then thay start going off on one when we ar 2 nil up because we are playing it around at the back and not pushing forward!  WE ARE 2 NIL UP AND KILLING THE GAME FFS!  Some of our fans are fucking clueless idiots and I for one am glad that the season ticket deal is not as good as last year because at least it will get rid of these plastic twats that obviously know fuck all about lower league football!

*rant over*

I thank you!

3 points, clean sheet, happy days!  Grin

We've come through this week unscathed, so have given ourselves a chance, but there is still little margin for error...the next two has to be a minimum of 2 points, or we could be back in the drop zone.

Not as good as Tuesday, but thoroughly professional and well deserved.  We played some good football in short bursts.  Cox was definitely offside, but why Kanu's was not given I just don't know.  Nobody played badly although Phil Smith did not fill me with confidence (neither did Brez either).  Once again I felt Timlin controlled the midfield and was my m.o.m.
