It's no good playing well for 80-85 mins and then letting in a late goal.
Back in the Good old (Macari) days we always seemed to score late goals to nick a win or salvage a draw, because we had a team that were fit enough to last 90 mins or more.
It can't be a coincidence that we so often concede late goals, is it just that the players aren't fit enough?

Ah well. I think Wilson will be a good boss in League Two, and if we back him both with support and the board with money we'll come back sooner rather than later.
i hope when we go down there is a stance where we don't just bother looking at the squad and the thinking of "we'll they're shite in league one, they're bound to be good enough for league two". as mentioned in previous threads we need a cull and to build a team that would be capable of dealing with the rigours of third tier football and not bumbling along in the forth |

Sorry for being angry that my team are sinking to L2 without a fight. I know what he meant but I also know what I meant. For months we've been saying 'oh that game doesnt matter, the next ones the important one' we said it leading into Hartlepool and Cheltenham and we didnt win either game. Doesnt matter where we get the points. A draw against Leeds is still worth a point as is a draw against Crewe. We cant keep saying the remaining games are the important ones because we'll soon run out of games. I dont expect many/any people expected Leyton Orient to get 9 points from Colchester, Stockport and whoever else they played but they did. We have to win games (no shit) doesnt matter who against. |
