wanted to rant.
we've a Vauxhall Signum Design 1.9cdti 56 plate.
basically back in Oct '08 we put our car into Vauxhall as the passenger floor was soaking wet. We'd discovered there was a leak when ever it rained, got washed etc water would come through the vents and onto the footwell. It also carried through to the rear so that was soaked too.
so we phoned up, told them the problems and said it'd be covered under warrenty etc. They had the car for two days and said they couldn't find a leak. Fair enough we said and left it.
Well a week ago it happend again (it's been happening for past 3 months) yet this time the water was flowing through the car and not just a small drip.
phoned up, booked in for yesterday, car in for 2 days again only to be told @ 3pm on the second day "leaks aren't covered under warrenty". Well my Mrs went ape shit at them. What the fuck they been doing with our car for two whole days? Car came back at 5pm to find large oil stains all over the cloth trim of the drivers seat. I phoned them back and went mad also and have threatend them that if it's not cleaned then it's being replaced. the whole interior. They're having it back Thursday.
i'm currently drafting a letter to Vauxhall Head office as i'm fucked off with our local dealershit. they're a fucking joke to the brand vauxhall.
Anyone else here had this kind of service and or work for vauxhall?

When it comes to major problems then dealers are notoriously shit, afterall they don't actually belong to the brand - they're just a franchise.
Phone head office and they'll soon put it right.

How the fuck can they know if the leak is covered or not if they don't know what is causing it. I smell a huge amount of BS to try and fob you off. Oil stains. WTF. Not on. Head office and try a different franchise if possible for the leak. Also you may wish to have a look around on the Vauxhall users forum as to possible causes of said leak. A quik google came up with this http://www.vectra-c.com/forum/showthread.php?p=753136

And yeah, leaks are normally caused by dodgy seals on things fitted on the roof e.g. sunroof, aerial, roof rack etc.

the bloke phoned my mrs and tried to giver her some talk about warrentys to which she blew her top at him. She knows her cars and knows when she's being given porkies. apparently the bloke crawled up his own arss.
but the oil stains are what have fucked me off. The car is lush and yet there is stains very clearly on the seat. Head office are being called again tomorrow and being told of our service and hopefully they'll sort it.
another thing aswell, our alloys on the car. they're vauxhalls 19" and have started to flake. the laquor is coming off and going bobbly. Apparently these aren't covered also!

Really? Toyota ans Mazda definitely cover the alloys on their cars so I'd be surprised of Vuxhall is any different!
We are talking about a standard manufacturers 'comprehensive' warranty aren't we?

The Vauxhall dealers in Swindon are cunts. I once smashed into some bird at a low speed, who i fortunately worked with, and she took her car to the dealer. There was no visable damage, but there needed to be just north of £1,000 of work doing.
I was extremely angry with the dealers, as the work they claimed needed doing, didn't need doing in my eyes. So after a protracted arguement i agreed to pay and said i wanted all the parts they removed. She got her car back and then when i phoned to collect said parts, they said they couldn't discuss the car with me because it wasn't mine, denied having ever spoken to me, meeting me when i paid, having any "parts" or even promising them to me.
I used to dream of how sweet it would be to cause £1,000 of forecourt damage courtesy of Nitromors.

Bollocks! I'm living in one at the moment whilst our house is being renovated and it's been a great year for caravanning... High Winds, Heavy Rain and now Snow - you ain't lived til you lived in a caravan for 7 months... I'm considering changing my nationality to 'Pikey' so I don't have to apply for planning permission next time...
