Hmmmm. Chinney Reckon.
Well they hadn't done Queens Drive by midnight last night, so unless they're gritting at 1am one would assume if they did it all, they'd have had to have done it early this morning, say 6-ish. By which time the snow was frozen, so the grit would be on top of the snow not the other way round. I'd take their claims with rather larger pinches of salt than they seem to have managed to get on the roads last night

what time was that? i drove from swindon to home on the a420 around 9-10pm last night and it wasn't too bad. the snow had settled a bit near faringdon but the roads were ok
