This clubs future has and always hinges on the stadium development. I don't think Bill Power would have done anything different to Fitton, but he was good because he was a very fan orientated man.
In my opinion the Board have cut their losses for this season. They'll want Wilson to keep us up and sort the organisation of the team out. Once that's done I think they will back him with more money. That's simply my gut feeling though.

I don't think the problem is about Fitton not paying agents fees. Last season when the Football League published the agents fees for the Football League teams there were clubs like Blackpool and Huddersfield, who didn't spend a penny on agents fees, yet they seem to bring in good enough players.

We need players now if we want to stay up, and to start a radical overhaul of the team.
People say its difficult to buy in january, but thats more for players moving up the football league pyramid. We rely on players comming the other way and Championship and Prem clubs are quite keen to trim squads in january because it is clear who is really needed.
The january window is also much shorter. We were linked with loads of players in the summer, who simply waited and got their agents to get them a better deal.
Cox was a classic example of what can be done in january.
Its not looking good. There are hardly any rumours, its all gone deadly quiet.

Well, Ifil and Brez basically played Huddersfield on their own in the first half. Pat Kan can't, simple as that. All he did was control the ball for them and then let them go on their way.
Our midfield is a disgrace, 1st half I hardly recall Peacock, Timlin and Pook touching the ball at all. JPM at least managed to get hold of the ball but then proceeded to give it away every single time.
2nd half we didn't improve until Pat was sent off - which I was fuming about by the way, he should be fined a good 2 or 3 weeks wages for that because he gave the ref no way out other than showing the red. It was a stupid tug and would be a red 100% of the time, even a Utd player at Old Trafford.
Still, since the red we did get a little better and on the showing he gave Sturrock would be the first name on the teamsheet for me next time out, his movement completely changed the way we approached the game and all of a sudden we could find a red shirt.
Not many positives to take from that exept for me Brez looks closer to his best and looked confident out there. Obviously Cox getting one is good news and hopefully he'll go on another run now.
Squad assessment - Need 1 new CB, prob a LB, absolute must is 2 new CMs and we deffo need another striker. Survival will be a big ask as it is and the 2nd half of January will ulimately decide our season I think.

Err, so Ifil, Sturrock and Brez did OK then. Looking on the right side only 8 more needed.

Sturrock was only on for 15 mins ish.
Thought Ifil was great in comparison to his defensive colleagues and brez was good first half, couldn't see their goals well from the other end.

Ifil played well on tuesday, fingers crossed Wilson is another manager he will flourish under instead of floundering.
For me the players to keep are Cox, Ifil, Brezovan, J Smith, Easton, Peacock, Timlin, C Allen, Paynter, McNamee, Morrison and B Corr (just because ok).
But there is a massive list of players who have to go. McGovern, Casal, Amankwaah, Aljofree, Vincent, P Smith, Nalis, Kanyuka, Sturrock, Pook, Marshall.
The other youth players need to be trimmed down, but that is for Bodin and Byrne to decide.

Disagree about Vincent. Let's see what he's like following his injury before deciding. Its a big injury but its his first at Town. If we can hand out contracts to piss heads and serial injury prone players then lets give the guy a chance.
