Barry Cryer was an absolute comedy legend and he will be sadly missed.
I missed out on a chance of meeting him in Edinburgh a few years back when he was at the festival due to parking issues for me, something which has pissed me off hugely as he was a real comedy hero of mine.
A great comedy write RIP Barry.

Barry Cryer. No word yet on whether the flying purple people eater got him in the end. Owner of the world's filthiest laugh, will be much missed.
RIP Barry. A true comedy great. Must dig out my "I'm Sorry I Haven't a Clue" box set.

Syl Johnson other day. Comes only a week after his bro Jimmy died and also Sam Lay ffs If you love your soul, funk and blues then you'll know it's another one passing from a great era of genuine musicians. Pretty much all of the Hip-Hop scene has this dude to thank for (and some definitely still owe his family) having his music to sample too! What a performer. I'm just happy to say I witnessed him do his thing live. Better than Marvin Gaye and James Brown imo. He was just so much more gritty and erratic. Sleep well, you certainly was a master of getting people off their feet and movin'. You'll continue to do so beyond! Syl Johnson really was and will always be "different strokes"
