See I'm not a fan of commercialised cider. I like the good cloudy stuff. Might cost a bit more but def worth it!

I had a spell of drinking cider back in the summer into early autumn..Thatcher's Gold and Magner's draught....tended to get excessively pissed, so went back to ale late autumn early winter.

Thatcher's Gold is very decent....Magner's draught ludicrously expensive, but does slip down easily.

I'm partial to Weston's Old Rosie. Couldn't have it on a session though, it's lethal.

My kid who likes his cider, speaks highly of Black Rat, which is sometimes available in the Wheatsheaf.

Its marketed by the Moles brewery of Melksham...although I believe its made by Thatcher's.  I daresay one of our wurzel cousins will know a bit more about it.

This is just up the road from me. They distill cider brandy as well. Locals seem to rate it.

First time I tried it my housemates and I all had a couple of pints following about 6 pints of stella. The walk home was 'interesting'.
