His managerial record isn't too shabby: two promotions with different clubs.

It may have taken him two seasons to get Forest to the Championship, but so what?

I would love it, LOVE IT, if he came home.

The "quit and will join us immediately" line doesn't seem to tally with what Fitton's saying in the Adver today though does it? That sounds more like we could be in for another few weeks, ongoing negotiations etc

Maybe the negotiations were finalised quicker than AF anticipated?

I know it's all bollocks.......

You need to get some better fantasies Herthab!

The Captain that led the team from the 4th Division to the top flight might be coming in as manager.

Proven at lower leagues level, having gained two promotions.

Contacts in the game.

Sounds like a decentish fantasy to me.

Negative Todd says he outspent the opposition at both clubs he got promoted and took 2 years to get Forest up despite spending more on strikers than the rest of the league spent on players in total

If Fitton can't even rely on universal approval from the fans should he appoint Colin fucking Calderwood then he really has got no chance.

there's always going to be better managers available whoever we get in.
The thing with CC is he'll instanly be a hit with the fans. Happy fans = more through the gates = more money = better players = (hopefully) a push for promotion.

Now i've had a good think about it we as fans see him as a legend so will want nothing but success for him so will give him the time he needs to acheive this. Which is key to keeping the players happy and not causing unrest throughout the club.

i imagine it would be a requirement of any manager to shift out and bring in his required backroom staff.

Surely CC would bring David Kerslake back?

I'm not sure that Kers will have the legs any longer to be honest. He wasn't up to much the last time he was brought back, even playing as a fairly immobile sweeper.
