Is that a fact? Are facts are allowed in this thread? Official things, reality, facts and statements backed up by quotes should all be frowned upon.

Which means we can only post stuff from the Adver.

Everyone was excited about Wise because he was a decent player, same with Hoddle, Macari etc...

It counts for some obviously.

Now I see your point to an extent.

I guess I think those as all recently retired ex-pro names that are undoubtedly a high risk but at least get the fans buzzing in anticipation. I can see how this might be an attractive  option to Fitton (though I'd worry if Speed didn't get an experienced man in with him)

Hockaday for me doesn't fall into that category.  I judge him as just another coach who happened to play for Swindon. Maybe I am underestimating the "buzz" he would bring. But on his managerial/coaching recorfd I would be amazed if there wasn't someone more suitable out there.

That says, none of us know what happened during the interview process that lead us to seemingly Money and Hockaday. Maybe better options really aren't viable.

Duly noted, it won't happen again.

Here's some more good ol' fashioned "it could happen" "nah it's bollocks", this time from Blades fans.

Personally think Speed wouldn't be a bad choice players would respect him, he has his coaching badges, has good contacts and I am sure has learned alot from the coaches he has worked under.

My only concern is an operation on his back would surely put him out for some time so would mean he cant spend time on the training ground and on the touchline so would that leave Byrne in charge and put us in an even worse position.

Right, I've just got in, do we all still have no idea who the manager will be?

Radio apparently says there is a stumbling block with the contract ( not sure if this has been mentioned as at work) and we may not know today.
