how does one go about reversing into a traffic light?!
You know what, I don't really know how the fuck I managed it! I swear it wasn't there when I looked before reversing!

interesting thread.highworth breakers is still there,as is the ford breakers right next to it.also right behind(but the other side of the train track) used to be other scrap dealers.i have no idea if they are still there?rayners is out past wottoon bassett and is deffo worth a look for the parts mentioned.also that massive yard out challow way might have what you need(you remove the parts yourself there though).there was one i phoned up that contacts breakers all over the country, they then ring you and all have differing prices for the item you want.you choose the breakers you want then its sent to you.i bought a ignition-key block for my old renault 21 that way. also a while ago there was an article in the adver about rachem lagoon as it was featured on a tv programme(alan titchmarsh i think)where they stunned all the fish to monitor what was in there.

Is that the lake back of Cheney Manor Road.....Plaum's Pit. You can walk down Kiln Lane and work your way through for a walking route into north Swindon...although the route to Blunsdon via Sevenfields has got severely buggered by the Shabby Meads development.

Yeah thats it, very funny story about teh owner of teh site. He bought it with 8 caravans to fish, a tenant complained about his caravan (rent £3 a week) and he had to replace them with 8 four bed houses, made a killing!

I dont think thats plaums pit. Your on about the little pond behind the dentists aren't you? That had caravans and has just been re-developed. Plaums pit is a few hundred meters away. Thats not quite as good as raychem for fishing

I like stories about people wishing they'd kept their mouth shut. Best one ever is John Prescott granting an illegally camped group of gypsies legal right to stay on some field out the back of some wealthy blokes house. They devalued the area, broke into his house, etc. Anyway, he was so pissed off, he bought all the fields around John Prescott's house and gave them to gypsies to live on.

My mate ally once managed to get himself handcuffed to a 7 year old gypsy girl. I'll make him come to the merlin one day before a game so he can tell the story and buy me pints.
