Tans...try a vauxhall car breakers,will be cheapand they will fit it if they have one.
There used to be one in the Cheney Manor trading estate, sort of hidden away right down teh end of a lane, right near the railway. There's also some interesting waters down there, where you can fish. |

i was just seeing what kind of prices they are leef. the cars in the garage at the moment being repaired and i want to see if theyre going to sting me or not.
turns out the rear braking system on the car had failed! oops

I'd been there many times as a nipper with the old man and once with my first car to get new brake calipers. I know it's around there somewhere but kinda wondered at times whether i was just mistaken. I bought 4 new calipers and all the hoses from there, admittedly for a Fiat Uno, but it cost me £20. Total. Breakers are the way forward. |

I reversed into a traffic light the other day cracking the bumper on my A3. As fortune would have it the car is in for a service on the 13th November, however I am not looking forward to seeing how much it is going to be to replace the bumper as well as the service!

Highworth Breakers is the place in Brindley Close. Bit of a confusing name for somewhere hidden down the back of Cheney Manor, but it is a fine establishment. For some years I used to drive Saab 96's, which are a mighty fine motor, parts were expensive, or difficult to find, so I used to go to Raynors, which was literally in a field in the middle of nowhere out towards Chippenham? or maybe Calne. |

I'm more interested in the historical aspect...but I like the tone of their mission statement...no more than I'd expect from something in Rodbourne though. It appears it's also known as the Rodbourne Lagoon. Its good to see SBC employs a fishing officer...no honestly. |

It was used as a supply of water for steam locos....its quite possible that coal came in somewhere around there, because steam locos need it, and it had to be brought in. A lot came from S Wales, but some came up from Somerset. Opposite the Outlet Village where the newish flats and houses are, used to be a giant coal and clinker dump, where all the waste from steam boilers got dumped. There was a local legend that Brunels redundant Broad Gauge locos were buried underneath but sadly when it was all cleared no such joy  |
