The Coventry game wasn't supposed to be on Sky, their first choice game was postponed so they put us on instead. We filled out there away end as I remember.

You've missed out the Watford one when Howe scored - it was listed in the thread.
The Palace one in the ZDS I remember watching on TV, that was around the time when we beat some good teams in that competition.
It's startling that the 90 final was only extended highlights presented by Malone with numerous Bristol City references.
Watford done...there may be other errors.

i think the Palace game could be, i just got the dvd out to make sure it was on tv, and it was on Sky one in 1990, Andy Gray scored the only game for Palace.
The Wolves game was the last game of 94-95, live on itv (def central anyway), just found the copy. It was 1-1, Kevin Horlock was sent off for handling on the line and Wolves went one up from the penalty, then Peter Thorne scored with a cracking header a minute later from a superb cross from Chris Hamon.
Of course it was, which means Thorne is our all time leading televised goalscorer. Think Ben Worrell played his only game for us.

I've got the video of the match, and the commentator was Brian Moore so ITV could have shown highlights the next day. I was only 1 at the time so can neither confirm or deny this, sure Reg will know as you say.

Don't think anyone's mentioned this yet, but I seem to recall the 5-2 win at West Brom in 94/95 being shown on Central.

I remember watching our 5-2 win away at West Brom in March 1995. Peter Thorne hat-trick. The victory gave us a glimmer of hope (ultimately, to be dashed) that we might avoid the drop...and was all the sweeter for me and my Swindon supporting buddies because we watched it from a student house just off the Cowley Road in Oxford. Happy days.
Got there first!

Our overall record in these games is pretty poor to say the least, especially at home.
Home:
p22 w6 d4 L12 gf 27 ga 41
Away:
p19 w5 d5 L9 gf 20 ga 28
If we add in the contentious Chelsea game to make an old style 42 game season, we'd certainly be in danger of relegation.
I'm just glad the Histon game isn't on the box.

Also, i'm sure the Palace Cup match in 89-90 (Zenith Data or whatever it was called) was live on Sky as i've got the whole match on DVD somewhere, and it was tv produced.
That must be the one I was thinking of. Thanks Bedford. I thought it was earlier. i must have driven back from Bristol to watch it on my mums telly. Between this and the pint bet with The Flash on the Rovers game at Ashton Gate, I think I am definitely going senile.

Neither was the Stevenage game I know we don't need to be on TV to lose, but we've had 4 FA Cup games on and lost the lot. Nov 12th 53 R2 Hastings away 1-4 Nov 8th 61 R1 Kettering away 0-3 Jan 6th 76 R3 Tooting & Mitcham away 1-2 Nov 26th 84 R1 Dagenham home 1-2 aet Jan 3rd 98 R3 Stevenage Borough home 1-2 If MM can avoid adding to this pattern he'll be some sort of hero....managers inplicated in this shame... Maurice Lindley, Bert Head, Danny Wiliams, Lou Macari, Steve McMahon I think it was only the timely intervention of Hitler, that prevented the perferct sequence that started with Southall in 35.

So we're all happy that the ZDS game was Palace and not Chelsea? tpg? Which leaves the legendary game v UC Sampdoria June 5th 71, the second half, at least of which was live on Grandstand...we won 2-1 Peplow, Noble.
