No! Some good ideas, the problem is that things like ipods, digital cameras, etc, he's already got.
It'll probably end up being vouchers, which is a cop out.

assuming he doesnt already drive, like I said then eventually he can drive you to football. Good present, practical and something you could get something out of as well!

fair enough, who is paying for them currently? they dont come cheap. When I was doing lessons all I got for Christmas was money to go towards lessons but then I was still a student at the time.

Is he sorted for a car, could always say heres £100 to go towards a car or something.

Well I was basing that idea purely on the fact that a decent replica lightsaber would be an awesome gift for me.

I could imagine myself doing a 'Star Wars Kid' on Christmas day in my living room.
