Word on the messageboard street is that we may have signed two new players from a Premiership club.

Apparently on the radio, details as yet unknown.

Anyone hear it?

I didn't hear it but my Dad told me when he got in and I don't think he uses the forums, so I presume he heard it on the radio.

Possibly that lad from Bolton?

Young Tails seems to think it's from the same club.

Ricky Shakes may be a good bet he looks to have the best track record over those that have been on trial so far.

If were talking Bolton then possibly the other player is young Charlie Comyn-Platt a big defender who has made a handfull of first team appearences and can play at left back.

Fits the King profile and could well be Heywood's replacement.

We can't sign that bloke he's got a shit name. What sort of chant can you make with Charlie Comyn-Platt?

My Dad mentioned they'd both been out on loan this season as well.

Wycome and Bury.

Shakey did well at Bury and got a couple of goals while Platt didn't seem to fit the bill by all accounts.  Adams was quoted as saying it was a year to early for him.

You know what? That is absolutely right.  It's actually better than the season itself because you can pretend all the players you've signed are brilliant and won't have been flogged off to some non-league side in 12 months!

There's a bit of land between Purton and West Swindon known as Common Platt....probably had houses built on it now mind......not to be confused with Rushy Platt , which has also had houses built on it.
