Depends what you are after Bushey. Is it just Mortgage Cover, or Critical Illness, or a combo?

I've just taken out a policy on a 148K Mortgage, for just Mortgage Cover, with Direct Line. For the two of us, 30 quid a month. Adding CI whacks up the premium significantly.

janaage is a good source of info on this.

Cool, will wait to hear from him.  I am doing a will etc and need to cover a business and various interests and want to make sure the mrs can pay the inheritance and not lose her home.  Only life insurance as if I get ill (touch wood) the business shoudl run and I can still gte an income.  That gives me a good idea so cheers

The new forum gives everybody what there ranking title would have been under the old forum if not changed. It's a scale from youth team through reserve, first, gaffer upto chairman depending on how many posts you have. You can have a title too, but it appears as-well-as, and you can change it yourself in your profile. No more titles given out by me when I'm bored, which is a shame.

Our defemce was non existant, 2-0 at half time then lost 10-0, I went out at 6 nil down as had enough of non defence.  White hart in div 5, your team looked good.  Gutted I let in more in one match than I did in 7 games last year.  Sill pissed off

If it's just life cover only with no critical illness, then for someone your age you should be looking somewhere between £15-£20 average per £100k.

If you're doing it for inheritance tax purposes then you'll want to put the plan in trust, otherwise the plan would also fall inside your estate and be liable to IHT in the event of your death. The best thing to do is speak to a qualified adviser, I know a couple of very good advisers if you want contact details.

You can get 100% business property relief so it won't be liable to IHT.

Although the simplest solution to keep the IHT bill down to would be to get married.
