Always hated gardening but last few weeks have found myself painting sleepers, fences, cutting lawns and sorting out garage. Maybe the garage is being done as its the mans place, but why am I getting into it.
Is this a sign of old age?!

Is this a sign of old age?! Nah, incipient breeding age. Its the male equivalent of nesting syndrome which happens to birds. You're flagging up to your bird that it's sprog time. Happens in spring...its why birds sing etc.

 im not having kids yet Our bodies tell us one thing, our heads maybe another, fortunately the urges although strong, are not all powerful. Nevertheless, much of our behaviour is dictated by the same basic animal urges Bangkok Red sees.

I think Reg is right. The gardening is obviously a metaphor for 'sowing your seeds'.
