I think with the price of fuel rising rapidy that is hitting people, and then you have the people that are coming out of fixed term mortgages having to sort that out and realising how much more they will have to pay.
Then you add in that the cost of food & energy (gas / elec) has risen dramtically, you can really see some young couples struggling.
And don't forgot the 10p tax rate as well that will hit some low paid people as well.
It all seems to come at once.
I'm, lucky in a sense that myself and the mrs have ended up with half decent pay rises this year (her's through promotion) so that is going to help us out with the added cost's, but I'm sure a lot of ordinary folk will start to feel the pinch within the next 6 months.
