That's because everything from Preston is better than anything from Blackpool

Miss is one way of putting it!

The man had serious mental health issues.

That's a bit harsh, he had a decent return considering he was being played out wide for most of the season. Good player, seems a nice fella too, always worked hard for us and played with a smile on his face. Best of luck to him. Except for the obvious two fixtures next season, natch.
Possibly a little harsh but for every connection Yates made to the ball there were 3 or 4 wayward efforts, similar to Anderson.

Yes I am a little disappointed we didn't sign him as he is a known quantity for us and knew his playing role quite well.

But to say hes definately going to do well for them would be total guesswork at best (as many are saying on FB).

How many times last season did he cut inside after making a great run and then his shot fly yards wide (I remember 2 shots he has swerve and go out for throw ins), or how many dribbles he made and then ended with the ball getting tangled up under his feet.

For all his good points he has as many bad point, but you can say that about every player pretty much at L2 level, except for maybe Grant. They are in L2/L1 because they dont have the quality consistantly.

I am more bothered that Yates didn't sign compared to Doyle but both are replaceable and the way Wellens teams play then any striker worth his salt will grab a metric shit ton of goals with the service we give them. Doughty, Lyden and Grant not to mention Palmer and Rose alongside Isgrove and Hope are the players that make the chances.

The Blackpool splurge continues as they are favourites to sign Omar Bogle from Cardiff.

Him and Yates? Mmmmm

They have cooled their interest in Bogle, they were favourites for him back in June but now they have other targets.

If they do sign Bogle then that will be 12 attacking players vying for about 4 positions, unless they are playing the 1-2-7 formation.

One would assume they will ship some out, whatever happens its going to be a lot of pressure on the manager splashing the cash around like this, albeit a nice pressure.

Players come and go, nothing to get upset about. How anyone can predict their side will be in the top six next season  before players are in place and a ball has even been kicked, let alone a new manager, is laughable.

But apparently we know nothing about football  Idiot

Tell that to Flitcroft and Dempster at Mansfield! also Graham Alexander at Salford.

They're winding us up and revelling in the amount of [what's it called?] nibbles from Town fans. Football bantering badinage in full flow. It's not for me.

I do, however, still look back fondly at the time when Sam Allardyce got himself in an awful tizz when we got promoted up there in '96.

It's the same old fucking discussions year in, year out. And it's the same people every time.

The same ones spelling prophecies of doom now are the same ones that were doing so this time last season. We don't know how our squad will look when the season starts. We don't know how well we'll do. It could range from disastrous, to magical, and anything in between.

Surely that's not a difficult thing to understand, is it? It's hardly complex.
