Think midfield is an area we have enough bodies in so I can only imagine Doughty coming on a perm if one goes.  Kasim perhaps.

Sign Doughty and send Rodgers to [insert National League side here] on loan, obv.

Totally guessing/speculating/guessing speculatively, but Goddard is the Doughty replacement.

(And hopefully not in the way that Jordan Stewart was the Nathan Byrne replacement)

I remember when Ben Joyce, notched in the final game of the season v PV, when we stiuffed them 6-0 under Malpas. He looked like he knew where the goal was....now plays midfield for Wadebridge Town.  Still only 26.

Yes and Andy Caton scored a tap in against Wrexham and people got all excited.

Young rejected Chelsea as a kid and scored on his debut so to conclude, I like him.

Doesn't always happen though, Miles Storey scored a couple and no one got excited about him, poor lad  Cheesy

I also recall this game.

I have relatively high hopes for Jordan Young. Turned down a chance to join Chelsea in 2011 to continue his education here. Pretty sure a 3 year contract as soon as he turned 17 also shows the club have high hopes for him.

Let's hope he does well.  Definitely the way to go about it, sign for your local team, get some experience, and if you're good enough get your move on up.

The last STFC kid who I was completely sure would make it was Paul Rideout....you could see he had then lot, even at 16, bit of pace, good in the air, strong, could hold people off and a shot like a mule.

Lukas Jutkiewicz was a bit like that, but with more rough edges, Rideout was a class act.

Don't ask me why, but I had look on the Shrews forum.

They seem convinced we are in for Tyrone Barnett who has been released.

Apart from him being a seemingly serial duffer he's in the Obika mould. Could be a lose lose situation.

Who's this
