Tongue in cheek?!
It's silly money, but for a Prem club it's not a huge amount. He's a full international after all

No serious, power said he wouldn't sell unless we could buy players to replace him as Gnasher said, it's not a huge amount to a team with cash.

OK, I just don't seem anyone stupid enough to pay that much for an unproven above league 1 player. Australia are below league 1 standards, right

Yes this is true but apparently it was only about £750k up front the rest based on appearances/caps etc.

What about Britt Assombalongo? £5m riding to £8m (admittedly that's from wiki) off the back of one decent season from what I can tell.
If the right club comes in then who knows?!

if Britt Assombalonga sold for £5m rising to £8m, then Mass should be worth similar.

Something like that. He had at least played in the Championship though I think.

The comparisons to Assambalonga and Gayle are pointless, the transfer fees for strikers are always massively inflated

Might suit Mass to stay until the end of the season. If we go up, he's playing in the Championship and if we don't then he can get a move in the summer. If he were to be with us in the Championship then he might get a bigger move sooner than moving now for £1-2m to a Championship club who might want to get a couple of seasons before selling on.
Typically Premier League clubs don't often look below the Championship unless it's for young talent like Nick Powell from Crewe or Grimes at Exeter who they can develop in their Development squads. I would argue that Mass is a couple of years on from that and doesn't need to be moving back to reserve team football.
