cats shit in their territory.as they get older they stay closer to home.i'd just let there be a part of the garden you accept as where your cat will shit.

You can buy cat loos from KATZ R US....when the cat finishes its buisness a meoww will activate a small flushing system connected to the main sewage system,ive found the hardest thing is getting them to wash there paws after!

    The parents in law once had a cat that pissed down the drain...never did wash his paws...
