OK
Having just spent 2 really cool days in York, which truly is a beautiful place, got me thinking about my favourite places in the UK.
York has just overtaken Chester.
Yours ?

Edinburgh is lovely too as long as you stay out of the Niddrie Mains.

Good call, lots of nice fishing villages in Devon/Cornwall. One of those would get my vote too.
York is nice, but rammed full of tourists most of the year. Can also be a bit of a bugger to park in town.
