Calne had a bloke called physical phil must of been aged around 25-30. He would wear a take that cap and try to break dance at youth club discos.

   Physical Phil - oh my god what a throwback - whatever happened to him? didnt he live up Quemeford and people used to say he didnt have a bed he slept on hay!

I don't know who physical Phil is but have heard of him and think he still resides in Quemerford

Physical Phil still lives in Quemerford with his mum, he was also the Burger King dancer from the orginal post. His mum is a bit 'touched' and spends all day walking up and down the London road with Phil following her to make sure she is ok.

Maybe not town centre, and I don't know how many on here have ever been to cavendish square.

But Cavvy square was frequented by a religious bunch (Probably Mormons) who would just turn up and start preaching from their bible.

Quite an odd bunch considering that EVERYBODY walked right past, I don't ever recall them having ANY audience whatsoever.

What about the bloke with the HUGE ears who went busking near macdonalds. I remember he found himself a girlfriend once and she used sit next to him shilst he was busking, they looked so proud and happy together, and they where both absolute monsters to look at.

I would pay good money to see a man with a giant thumb. WTF is that all about?  My nomination would certainly be the 'Jabber Man' (i.e Jabber=Adver) I seem to recall him fathering a child at the age of 75 or something like that. I think he died at least 10 years ago.

There was another chap who I remember.

He lived out of a shopping trolley and was often seen outside Brunel Rooms at kicking out times for whatever reason, maybe he slept near there as he was proper homeless.

Whilst at college and working at Burger King I remember well him coming in and asking for "Cofftee", basically a cup of coffee with a tea bag in it.

The thing about this chap is that he was very very well spoken and dead intelligent, quite posh in fact yet he was homeless. He was easy to talk to yet anybody who tried to ask "What the fuck is a bloke like you doing on the streets" would simply have the subject of coversation quickly and smartly changed.

Anybody know who I am talking about?, I wouldn't be surprised if nobody does as he kept himself to himself.

He was unmissable really OST, big ears, big thumbs, big girlfriend and played an electric organ very badly outside McDonalds.

He reminds me of the monster form the recent Beowolf (Sp) movie.
