After seeing how good we can be when we keep the ball on the floor I really want a manager who will get us playing good football and not hoof ball.

Ling's my pick - we've got the personnel for his game too, which is surprising given that Sturrock chose strong, no nonsense players.

I think Adams is similar to Sturrock in that he had a good reputation that became tranished.  I wouldn't be disappointed if we appointed him...

Why are people convinced that Ling would be the right man for us? What has he won? Surely we need to be aiming higher than an ex player that has done an ok job in the lower leagues?

Don't make the mistake of thinking we're somehow now different in terms of finances than before.

Fitton has said now in the press that he wont be throwing money at this.....the line if we could get a an extra 1500 on the gate, then we could get better players.....is straight out of the Devlin/Holt lexicon of around 2003/04.

In order to stabilise finances, then its likely we'll  see cuts...again something Fitton implies.

Getting someone of top pedigree is just going to be beyond us......Sturrock was a decent appointment, but at the end of the day we couldn't afford to keep paying his wages....

Given that Orient are doing better than us right now.....getting Ling would be quite an achievement.

He hasn't been in a job for ages now though. I wonder why? He hasn't achieved much either. Just a bit of a decent promotion with Brighton and maybe did OK at Leicester. I'd rather have Cotterill or Ling myself.
