After last night woke up after what I thought was a few hours sleep. Turns out I'd only been asleep for about an hour and a half.

Got pulled over and looking at a 12 month ban from driving at least. Time to give up alcohol I think  :|

I looked at a clock when I woke up but I didn't know what time I got in. Given the amount of alcohol in my blood still I hadn't been asleep long. Only went to asda to get some munch as well :-))(

Complete knobber and I make no excuses about it. I'm fucking livid with myself.

I don't even know. Breath test was 94. Whatever that is.

Lady copper said 15 months but if I do a course probably 12.

It's 35 apparently. A fine is ok, as is the ban. I need to sort myself out and this is the kick up the arse I needed.

Apparently I could be looking at community service too. Anyone need a bog brushed?

Limit is 35 micrograms of alcohol per 100 millilitres of breath (or 80 milligrams of alcohol per 100 millilitres of blood). I assume you were quoting the former ?

Yes Si, you HAVE been a complete dickhead. Its not what you want to hear, but at least you realised that you have screwed up.

I'm not going to preach a holier than thou attitude. I managed to do something very similar many years ago - walked to the pub, had about 6 beers, walked home, got in the car and drove off to get some grub. I quickly realised what I was doing, turned about fucking sharpish and got home without attracting the attention of the fuzz, luckily for me.  Most of us have done it, hopefully you learn from the experience - I did, thankfully not to my personal cost.

Those breathilers are very random imo.  My dad has been stopped on 2 different occasions when he was over the limit, but managed to get away with it both times.

Around 4 years back, my dad had 7 pints and a vodka on a Friday evening.  He then drove us home (hes got a pretty strong head, and the drink didnt impact his driving in any way).  Anyway he got stopped by the police, was breatalised, and they said he was just below the limit  .

Then 2 years ago, he had 5 pints,  got stopped again, had the test again, and he got away with it again   .

He hasn't drink and then driven since the second time the police stopped him, as he knows his luck will run out some time.

However both times he was stopped, he quickly ate a few mints before the breathiliser test.

I guess the lesson is to never drink drive   Oops

I don't want to be negative, but I was 98 and got gifted a 2 year ban and £550 fine - I was lucky not to get community service/tagging.  The saving grace for you may be that I was done in Portsmouth where they are apparently especially hot.  The reason I escaped community service/tagging was because the judge thought it may have a detrimental impact on my studies.  The course to get a quarter of your ban pardoned is well worth doing though you meet some real low-lifes and it's a patronising, pretty much complete waste of time!

Get a good sollicitor, get some good character witnesses and appear very very sorry.  Good luck....  It's a complete pain in the arse and no doubt you'll have learnt you lesson!
