Don't beat yourself up too much si. I bet most of here have driven over the limit the morning after a piss up at some point. Well not me obviously, but I imagine it's much easier to do than people realise.
I'll be a character witness if you want.
"This one time, I saw Si get through like 20 pints of Guinness... and I'm almost certain he didn't drive the next day"
It's probably a bit late to give up alcohol now, and to be honest, you'll need something to spend the petrol money on.

The main problem your going to have is that lately they are hitting new drivers hard....
Youve been a dick (have to say that as I always say that) and it will hurt you in years to come.
Learn your lesson and sort yourself out mate

All I'll say is. If anyone has woken up still feeling a little pissed and think they're ok to drive they're not.
Lesson has only just begun to be learnt I suspect.

Chin up Simon, I got a 15 month ban for 76mls about 10 years ago. It's a very big wake up call, just hope it doesn't affect your job mate.

We've all done it, unlucky Si. Sorry, but I agree with DV. We've not 'all done it'. If I've had a skinfull and still feel a bit squiffy the next morning, I won't drive.

Ok fair enough Sam.
People are very quick to take the moral high ground with drink driving though. If someone gets blind drunk and then drives home then yes, their an idiot and deserve to be caught.
If someone had a few the night before though and then gets caught the next morning it's again silly but they probally felt fine to drive.
My job is a bitch for this because I have to drive so early in the morning. Friday nights are a no go really drink wise.

People will find out anyway mate. They get funny because it's an utterly dipshit thing to do.
As for the job. I'm going to have to speak to someone tomorrow. I'm hoping I'll be ok, but I am expected to go out of the office a lot. Used to manage with trains and taxis so I might get away with it.
