Absolute Calamity!

Big thanks to everyone who helped out today and serious congratulations to Rob H for coming up with the idea - we had 1500 hats and ran out at ten past two! Also gave out about 4000 flyers. A fantastic effort from everyone who helped out - if we'd had more hats, we could have got through twice that! More orange for Boxing Day - this isn't just a one-off, its onwards and upwards from hereon in until they get the message.

Very little negative feedback either - the odd one or two - most people really keen to find out what it was about and once told couldn't get hold of the hats etc fast enough. The Town End looked boss, Arkells had little ring of orange hats round the directors box and I'm told the South Stand was pretty Dutch-looking as well. Down the side of the Town End about 2-ish, it looked like a stewards' convention! 3 points in the bag too and bragging rights over the Gas. Just a shame the Rovers' idiots had to put a cloud on what was otherwise a brilliant day

I don't know the exact ins and outs on how much the hats cost but they were dirt cheap at that kind of quantity and they were sponsored so didn't cost the Trust.

Fuck......................I have been so angry this week (I am human after all !)

Dad phoned me tonight and asked what I thought of the game.............. now normally we have the big debate etc etc (which in all honesty he loves), but my reply was;

"I dont know Dad, I know we won 2 - 1 but I was too busy watching the crowd"

That's not wrong is it ?

You lot were brill today

i saw a couple of (very) old boys each wearing a peice of orange ribbon behind the nationwide, will never apear on a photo and they will be listed by the board as "proper fans who didn't wear an orange hat".  The appeal of the campaign crosses generations and the support will grow.

Well done  Smiley

fingers crossed it grows, and starts to make the few who made snide comments and ripped up leaflets and stamped on hats and generally were daft that this is the way forward...

after speaking to my dad who was unable to attend...

he still wasn't sure what the orange revolution was about and why we would risk upseting SSW when he's done blah blah blah

now the old git aint that old!  However I spent a long time explaining what i've read through various sources and he eventually came to the same conclusion as I have.

What would, in my view, help is if someone with a beter knowledge of IT than me could create a page of quotes, archived from the media, from our board.

I can think of dozens of statements that contradict previous statements. It woulld just be really good if you could point people to a single artical that clearly renders them incompitent through there own words only
