How good is that background??  If they change it, that'd be class.  At the end of the day we've had a good start to our campaign, thanks to Mr Bennett the radio and the Adver a lot of people will know why we are doing what we're doing, and that was the first hurdle to overcome.

People going to the game will know that us in orange are annoyed with the current board.  Which will make a nice change from when I wore my orange ribbon last home match and had some weird looks.

What follows from here is anyone's guess.

That's a bit unfair, Spencer - I don't think Nigel's comments represented the views of the Supporters' Club at all. Which is what infuriated so many people - that he passed off his own views, deeply insulting to at least 1500 people at the game today, as those of the SC. The SC do some fantastic work and I'd hate to see them get tarnished by some ill-considered comments by one individual.

How many members do the supporters club have?

200? 250? at most? Most of those are grannies. They'd go anywhere with Barnes' coaches. John O'Groats for tea and scones.  Yes please. Just make sure we have 600 piss stops for my ageing bladder and the radio on volume 10 for my hearing aid.

No, not fair and, in any case, not relevant - I know a lot of SC members across the spectrum young, middle aged and "more mature". All of them are passionate town fans, and that's what counts. We've got no grudge against the SC - please let's not let Nigel's silly comments create a divide between fans - Newbury are actively working to create splits in the fanbase and would be delighted if this helped them to achieve it. Let's just accept Nigel was not speaking for the SC, was a bit silly, and put this to bed.

Still only got 200 members though.

From what I can see the make up of the STFC fan base is that around 40% of fans want the new consortium. 50% are totally apathetic and just want to watch football. And 10% want them to stay out of some blind loyalty to anything STFC.

Apathy is the enemy. And peace and love comments dont really help.
