I don't think he has in honesty, here's why;
He was given the job and no doubt the objective to keep us up, and until February he'd made a reasonable fist of it but no-one can dispute he fucked up badly. At the end of the day he played as bigger part in us going down as the players, and any manager whose not completely naive must expect to have his job considered when you get relegated.
And forget the media spin... Yeah the board came out and said they're behind him but no club ever actively says their managers on their way out do they? "Oh Iffy's here unless we find someone better?" The truth is it never gets said in public but I bet 90% of clubs feel the same way about their manager
Looking at it another way, yeah he might not have been treated brilliantly but every other person sacked in football has it the same way. Fuck me, the club even offered him a new position at STFC, he chose to walk away.
(shamelessly copied and pasted from L&P, sorry)

I don't think he's been treated badly, he couldnt seriously expect to keep the job when there were better options out there.
I wish Iffy all the best for the future.

i agree with dave.
perhaps he's been treated badly but its nothing new in football. if iffy had come in when he did and won every game and won us the playoffs no doubt he would be linked and maybe approached by other clubs. people would then have been saying "dont stand in his way to better himself blah blah blah" and im pretty sure also that iffy would have taken any such oppurtunity without a second thought.
fact is, he was/is pretty shit. yeah he's young and doesnt really know what he's doing yet but i dont really fancy the gamble of him cutting his managerial teeth when we're only one season away from non league. therefore i dont see a problem with him being given the boot, he's hardly done anything to merit another crack at the whip.
for the record i think wise will be a disaster and think he'll be gone by christmas. but it's all very exciting so i dont really want to think about that.

Of course he was treated badly.
Its not the fact that he was let go its the hollow promises and lies that Devlin and Power spouted.If they didnt want him to stay why say that they did?Shows a lack of class in my opinion.

Show me one example of a club who publicly stated they were on lookout for someone new while the current boss was at the helm.

Yes it was handled dodgily, although even Mrs Batch thought that those noises were the dreaded vote of confidence. I'm proud she is learning so fast now.... WDP state that SSW/JW overruled Power, Devlin and Diamondis on Iffy. And the Wills family hold all the cards. http://www.westpress.co.uk/displayNode.jsp?nodeId=150309&command=displayContent&sourceNode=150308&contentPK=14492994&folderPk=76224
