All football managers have it rough. Everyone knows football's a harsh game emoticions wise. Tough shit. You know what its like before you start the job, so if you don't like being shit on from a great height when things go wrong then don't do it. End of.

Of course he was treated badly.

Its not the fact that he was let go its the hollow promises and lies that Devlin and Power spouted. If they didnt want him to stay why say that they did?Shows a lack of class in my opinion.
sir eton wills wanted iffy out, devlin and power were prepared to give him a chanvce

I don't think he's been treated badly, Devlin when questioned on here simply said his position would be reviewed at the end of the season - that's exactly what happened. The decision may have been a bit sudden but he can't say it's completely unexpected.

Barry's views are insightful and well worth a read. We shouldn't discrimnate against those who are a bit more liberal with their grammer.

if this was any other occupation, i'd agree that iffy was treated badly - but this is football.

clearly the club were presented with the opportunity to bring in someone of wise's calibre and it's not something they could turn down, especially just because of a sense of loyalty to a manager who took us down.

i like iffy and wouldn't have been disappointed to see him still in charge next season but wise is the best option for the club in my eyes, so long and thanks for all the fish iffy.

of course he was treated badly, this is a shambles...publically backing the manager then getting a replacement in while Iffy is on holiday (I think?!)

Iffy was doing well on the pitch, although this has been done to death the board shouldnt have sold our top scorer in January.....footballing suicide and if anyone expected us to stay up after that, then in my opinion they were very deluded....

you rang me from the county ground yesterday, you weren't at work then

his comments were more or less the same as on our website, he wasn't expecting this and as far as he was aware the club were fully behind him and he was planning for next season.

Its the fact that now for better or worse football is now a business and as such hard decisions have to be taken.I like Iffy BUT Wise is a bigger name who will generate more interest from casual fans and will hopefully be able to get better players in too.
