Might well have been. Know he's been around at Rochdale and Burton since at least.

Adrian Whitbread is now head coach in Antigua. The team is called ANtigua Barracuda FC and plays in the league below the MLS in US.
Must be a great place to make a living in football!!

Slight tangent but Whitbread was coaching Puerto Rico Islanders before that. Ex-Hartlepool United forward David Foley (0 league goals in close to 100 league games) was with him there. Can you imagine that? Sitting at home in the Hartlepool area and having your agent call and say "You have the option of one-year deal with Hartlepool or a move to Puerto Rico Islanders? Oh and Barrow are interested too."I'm sure the answer was 'What are Hartlepool offering?"

What Norway Red....think he went to ground, out of fear that SY might pay a neighbourly visit

I see they have also signed ex Town loanee Mark Yeates, very good signing that. The teams coming up certainly look like contributing to a much stronger League 1.

The Burnley forum seems to think the fee will be about £2.5mill with promotion add ons etc so a lot less than the agreed fee with Hull before he failed the medical.

Well we know QPR have the cash, and Harry's never been shy with someone else's wad. Only problem is Charlie's injury history is likely to lead to some caution on the balance of up-front cash vs per appearance payments.
