Poor Sarah Greene. I was too young to remember his radio work but Ghostwatch was amazing and I used to watch 'That's Showbusiness'.

Sadly, Williams' death doesn't surprise me. Once a great force in comedy.
His stand-up was often great.

This. His stand up was among the best in the world, he made some great films he made some poor films, it is a sad loss but not exactly unexpected.

This is truly sad news he was a genius of comedy, my favorite film of his was The Fisher King, which i watched again only the other night, i was trying to enlighten my son about some great films that he would never think of watching, by the end he loved it as well.

I would argue that he hasn't been in a great film since about 1997 but if you're an celebrity who decides to get divorced then you do all of a sudden have to start making any mediocre/terrible film for the money I suppose I'm of a generation where his children's films were a staple part of our childhoods - I saw Hook, Aladdin and Doutbfire all at the cinema for example.... ...but it's his stand-up which I'll remember him for the most.

I think his performance in one hour photo was one of the most underrated performances in recent times, he was a talented actor but like a few of you have said I associate him more with comedy especially his stand up, own quite a few of his tours on DVDs. RIP

I didn't like One Hour Photo, hence why I would argue because there will be people who liked later efforts.
Williams did plenty of serious roles but it was his choice of comedic rfilms which were a greater shame in his later years.

That is so right. I don't mind a few of his cameo appearances but in the main his roles this century have been mediocre at best. I will remember him more for Mork & Mindy but his stand up was so full of energy that its the stand out overall.
