JG, is too much of a footballer for Div 3/4. A typical Power Williams era signing.... hoping to develop an individual player for sale, but losing track of the need to win games for that to happen.
Yet he was running the show and thumping them in at Woking? before he came here, or has the league hierarchy changed since then?

JG had talent but didn't seem physically up to it to me.
odd though, given his conference roots. Maybe the step up was a bit too far for him. Assuming such a step exists.

I think John Goddards biggest problem was he and his manager/s have never found his best position, he is adept in central midfield but not that good, he can play as a box to box midfielder and can also play on the wide midfield/winger or behind a striker/front 2.
He needs to specialise in one of them and not be Jack of all midfield positions.
One reason he was sold by Flitty was because one position we really needed players in midfield for the defensive midfielder position, which was the only position he was not very good in. We already had Anderson and Elsnik for the attacking role he prefered.

Was he? Never saw them play, however they finished half way up, season before joining us, lost more than won and conceded loads despite scoring a lot. So in other words, the show he was allegedly running, wasn't perhaps of FL standard.

Ey?
We picked up Morrison from Pilgrim Youths. If you're getting mixed up with Flint....we signed him from Alfreton Town. My neck of the woods.
Stand corrected, I thought it was Flint!! Too much sun at the weekend!!

he ha, I Ryan mcGiven will probably be (not signing) if the rumours of supporters club drunkenness are true. If.
anybody go that can confirm/rebuke it?
Gossip, I know, I know...I don't know -------- The rumour was : got drunk, grabbed the mike off Hodgetts, said he had a message from Hussey - thanks for stitching him up over saying he threw a punch - used quite agricultural language in front of fans (incl kids ) and threw the mike -------- Should be easily disproved if its crap -- somebody on here must have been there!

His decision making when in a decent position was atrocious. The amount of times he'd get himself in a good position then fuck it up was way too much for a football league player.

Former Town trialist and instigator of much TEF debate in 2012, Luke McCormick, has been released by Plymouth Argyle.

I'm not sure he was a trialist as such, but was allowed to train with us....

That was amazing. The media bullshit that produced. It even included a radio 5 phone in. How evil we were to allow him to train with us.
He went on to play for Oxford without a murmur.
