On 55 minutes I tuned in driving back from Town.....got to Bassett and turned off...they were pissing all over us and I didn't want to Jinx it!
Get in there!
Mini Flash is attending Boxing Day and she hasn't seen us lose at home yet...so that's a nailed on 5 in a row. Do we start looking up or still down?!

Booking for Rodgers now for wasting time. I just don't see the point, because the time gets added on at the end.
Should have just put the game to bed.
You haven't really played football have you? It's all about slowing the game down and stopping the opposition from getting any momentum. Plus the time doesn't really get added on, i'm pretty sure if you totted up all the stoppages there should be about 10 minutes added on every game... Anyway we won, job done!

Keep looking down. Focus on getting to the magical 52 as soon as possible. Anything else is a bonus.

I looked down and saw Wycombe 2 Oxford 1 Someone have a word with Charlton / Rotherham though. Something like "stop being so shit so City and Franchise sit with Bolton" will suffice.

The jills won at millwall, we have them on boxing day Next 2 games are tough ones. Pikies home then Burton away. Be a test of how much we have improved

No, I haven't and I think you'll struggle to find a huge number 40 year old women who have However, I've watched it for long enough to know why it's done. It can backfire though, Wigan away being a prime example.

Shrews fans probably blaming their defeat on Di Canio again.
Are we sure the ref wasn't from Wiltshire while we are at it?

It can backfire though, Wigan away being a prime example. As a general rule of thumb the ref adds on 30 seconds a sub. So even without any 'timewasting' you are looking at 3 minutes minimum added on. As I said previously you never really get the real amount of time wasted back, a keeper can easily waste a minute or so per goal kick without getting booked or the time added on. It's not quite as easy as just saying 'finish the game off', if we tried that and got caught on the counter attack this thread would look quite different, it's called game management!

We've given ourselves a bit of breathing space, and the long forgotten excitement of a Boxing Day home game to come...

Do Shrewsbury fans still hate us? If so, it adds a loving edge to the win.
A good day.

The clean sheet is the most surprising thing, very happy
We've only conceded 3 in our 5 wins (and scored 11). Unfortunately the other game was Fleetwood.

That was a game of two halves. First half, clear precise passing and competing for the ball. Making Shrewsbury look like twats. Scoring one in the process Second half they took the game to us and made us look like prats, not scoring in the process. Well happy. Merry Christmas one and all.
