Same again today. A comfortable 4 - 1 win coyr.

A late, fortunate winner from us under controversial circumstances to maintain our recent annual trolling of an inferior stfc.

 As stated in Mr Box's earlier thread, today is a key indicator of where we're at.  Get something and all is good we look upward, lose and we're back to square one.

 We're capable of both on the evidence of this season, but we could do with getting as many points as possible while we have Louis and Gladwin about the place.

Shrewsbury are fairly poor at home this season so no reason we can't continue our mini run.2-1,Branco and Robert

You kept saying similar things last season, then never mentioning it when we won said game.

As a general rule of thumb the ref adds on 30 seconds a sub. So even without any 'timewasting' you are looking at 3 minutes minimum added on. As I said previously you never really get the real amount of time wasted back, a keeper can easily waste a minute or so per goal kick without getting booked or the time added on.
It's not quite as easy as just saying 'finish the game off', if we tried that and got caught on the counter attack this thread would look quite different, it's called game management!

I did point out to my mate at Rochdale he was the only one wearing gloves.. But it's the only game I've seen him play where he didn't look utterly shit, so I've let him off in case it's a luck thing.

I often criticise Rodgers so have to give him credit where it's due. Fantastic ball in for the goal. Looks as good on the highlights as it did at the time!!

A great win yesterday and a clean sheet.  Not sure why Ling persists with playing Turnbull out of position at left back though as he looks so uncomfortable there most of the time.

His best 2 games were at the holding position at the diamond which is interesting. Seems thhat Ling is getting the formation and personell right which Cooper wasnt able to do.

Because he's our best defender but Branco is, apparently, doing well at the moment?

The clean sheet, welcome as it is, was more the fact that Shrewsbury were pretty poor in the last third. I'm not taking away from the Las ditch defending or saves. Just that they were that bad.

From those highlights we have 3 players:
1. Gladwin doing everything.
2. Rodgers delivering the ball.
3. Ajose scoring and miscontrolling.

Why does everyone hate it when players in wear gloves? One less thing to distract you when you're playing

long sleeves are part of the standard kit, underlayers belong with carpets and not on adult footballers and gloves just unnecessary.

As for losing heat through your hands It's a slightly chilly day in Oldham not the Antarctic circle.

If Dave Brailsford was a football manager and his players preferred to wear gloves, we'd call it marginal gains - or one of Clive Woodward's 1% 'ers. I'm far more upset by a misplaced pass than a player wearing gloves.
