Nathan Thompson played through the pain of ruptured ankle ligaments today. Cooper's said he's a 'warrior'

Not much to add really. If the Bristol city fans thought we fall over a lot then I hope they still have to play Fleetwood to get some  perspective.

In the first half the game was very stop/start as Fleetwood players either fouled us or fell over to break up play. Thankfully the ref spotted it and had a word with their captain as one or two walked the ref card tightrope. When we attacked we threatened to look threatening. But weren't.  Fleetwood had two good chances, the first when Thompson gave the ball away leaving a one on one which wes smothered, the second right on the  stroke of half, the shot blocked on the line by I know not who.

So they had the best chances but I was confident we would push them back in the second half.

I'm not sure if Fleetwood made a tactical change or we were simply asleep, but we looked poor for 15 minutes after half time. Slowly but surely we started to open them a bit, but not in a sustained way that would make you think we'd score any minute. But score we did, and from a corner too which was a surprise as up to that point our corners looked as threatening as an unset angle delight. Did Fleetwood deserve a point, possible, but the points are ours.

Great to see so many turn up with free tickets - always a danger that the 'meh, they were free, let's not bother' attitude would surface. But it didn't. From experience it's difficult to keep the young ones interested, but I think the best majority eye still there when the goal went in!

One of my my earliest memories of N Thompson was him playing on through a fractured (?) leg.

Chuffed with the win and will take the 3 points gladly! Fleetwood set up for 0-0 as soon as the red blew his whistle and whilst today we were nowhere near our best we ground out a result!

My only gripe today - tesco park - took an hour to get out of! Fucking traffic!

Although being out of the cups is a bit shit....given our situation, it really works out for the best. The proponents of the advantages of a mid season break, extol its vritues.....we're in effect getting one.

Surprised by the crowd 10,500 including all the boys.
Without them around 7,000 not good enough Swindon fans.
No wonder Power is worried about finances.

If we dont go and bring the numbers out we will sell come January, get to the games chaps and bring your mates. We have a great chance this season

Yeah,  but I would imagine quite a few of the 3000 are probably regulars.

The official attendance figure of over 10k would say otherwise. There would have been a few I'm sure but think they were in the minority.
