So the song for the day perhaps?

From Wikipedia:

The song "The Red Flag"
The song "The Red Flag" was written by Irishman Jim Connell in 1889. It is normally sung to the tune of "Lauriger Horatius", better known as the German carol "O Tannenbaum", though Connell had wanted it sung to the tune of a pro-Jacobite Robert Burns anthem, "The White Cockade". The lyrics of the first verse and the chorus, which are the most well-known parts of the song, are as follows:

The people's flag is deepest red,
It shrouded oft our martyr'd dead
And ere their limbs grew stiff and cold,
Their hearts' blood dyed its ev'ry fold.
Then raise the scarlet standard high,
Within its shade we'll live and die,
Though cowards flinch and traitors sneer,
We'll keep the red flag flying here.

Then be pissed off at the directors for asking the question ?!?

I am sure they didn't ask it thinking it would cause this much of a fuss....

The fact remains that if the players are more comfortable in White - whether that be for daft superstitious reasons or whatever - then I for one would rather that than them going onto the pitch with something (even slightly) negative in their heads.....

Tradition is important - of course it is....

But we played in White in '69 - England have a better record in Red than in White, and I like seeing England in Red - as do the majority of fans - but we don't start questioning the England management for their decisions about it.....

I wont accept it until they walk out of the tunnel at Wembley.

Obviously if they do it will spoil it for me that little bit.

All I can say its one massive kick in the teeth for all you shirters. All this 'turn up in red and where the same clothes because the team where red', well now you know what it means to the players. Fuck all.

They said they preferred the blue kit a few weeks ago, thats why weve hardly worn the white kit.

I dont believe it for one minute. Its a sponsorship thing. And its wrong!

The reaction after the penalty shoot-out suggests otherwise...

I will just reiterate that.

THE PLAYERS HAVE STATED PREVIOUSLY THEY LIKE THE BLUE KIT. THATS WHY WE HAVNT WORN THE WHITE ONE HARDLY AT ALL SINCE WREXHAM.

It is a fucking lie.

OH fuck off with this means nothing to the players bullshit.

You think they sweated blood to make sure we are where are on Monday night because they don't give a shit. Get a fucking grip.

I hate this too, I've DREAMED of seeing us play at Wembley, so to see us not come out in red is going to tarnish that. But if the players, like has been said, for some superstitious reason, want to wear the away kit, away from CG then fine. We've let it be known that we ain't happy about it, perhaps they'll think twice before doing the same thing again.

Dont think some of you get what I was saying.

When I said "'turn up in red and where the same clothes because the team where red', well now you know what it means to the players. Fuck all."

I was talking about the futility in wearing club colours. Or away kits. Ultimately this is the monster we have created, where a team isnt even allowed have a colour as part of its indentity at a showpiece final.

of course it's my opinion.
i think at most the board posed the question to the team(a question that never needed asking)
i dont think the players are really that bothered at all by the kit

So it's a ploy to confuse Billy into signing for us again Smiley

Again, a rediculous argument.

The FA do not change from white kits in competitive matches unless they have to.

Probably because they are not allowed to. Probably because the colours of international kits are part of the identity and football history of that nation.
