Also what a great journey through the cotswolds , stopped of in a few pubs on the way back , great day .Well done everyone
A bit off topic here, but Swindon to Coventry is a rare example of a journey where cross-country really is the best route. All of the blue line drivers (ie prepared to make big detours just to stick to motorways/dual carriageways, or because the satnav is telling them to go that way) are really missing out. Across the Cotswolds via Stow or Burford really is the way to go for a trip in that direction.

Is that Badger's Golden Glory ale? Nice pint that.
Might have got that wrong. It could have been Golden Glow. http://www.holdensbrewery.co.uk/index.asp?loc=productview&bid=13I'm sure other TEFers were drinking it, perhaps they can confirm. Just as good if not better than Badgers Golden Glory. They had just run out of it when we got back to the Greyhound and were putting on Tribute in its place. Another favorite of mine.

My guess is that they are just alluding to an anti-Swindon bias. Claridge, perhaps?

Nope, but it seems to be in relation to the Football League Show not showing *that* save. So presumably the 'politics' is in relation to the BBC. Anyway, goalkeepers union - they are bound to be annoyed (as they should be).

Agree, can go all the way to Leicester if desired instead of bearing left towards Warwick. Some monster pot holes up there at the moment. The A429 is in a pretty poor condition.

Interesting...it certainly looks a whole lot better this season, but appearances can be deceptive....look at this table 5 games later... From05/04/2010 Tight for 2nd, on paper an easier run in that year, but we came up just short...don't think it be much different this year, nmaely 3 or 4 teams went to the last game still in with a shout for automatic. Don't want to consider PO's. Our form dipped hugely once we were in a position to capitalise and we almost limped over the line to reach the play-offs. We picked up only 6 points from a possible 18, winning only once, drawing three in succession and losing twice. One thing that should stand us in good stead as it becomes tighter is the fact our GD is vastly better than teams around us. I'm also firmly in the no play-offs camp because I sincerely doubt I'll be able to afford the trip. A bit off topic here, but Swindon to Coventry is a rare example of a journey where cross-country really is the best route. When I lived in Kenilworth I used to make that journey frequently, either to Swindon or to my parents in Oxfordshire - easily one of the most pleasant routes to drive.

Had a fair few beers on the way up via the fosse, had a couple more in the Rioch Casino which was very impressive. Worst start possible going 1 down but we bossed the remaining 90 odds minutes. Went mental when we scored both goals and thought our support was first class. We were still in the Rioch car park at 6pm having a beer by the mini bus whilst waiting for tail Enders who had wandered off ! Was a lot of police with batons drawn right outside the our turnstiles but most of the attention seemed to be across the dual carriageway near the Tescos. Went home via motorways but didn't care at that stage about roadworks etc. A great away day.

That's me top left putting the finishing touches to getting my flag up! Really enjoyed yesterday, found myself on the floor after the 2 goals celebrating! Absolute carnage! Really impressed with the support and the team effort. It could and should have been more, but 3 points were vital yesterday. Great start for KMac and co, lets hope it's the start of a promotion run to the end of the season!

We went to one called the Gatehouse, really good pub, with sandwiches for £2.60 the size of a suitcase. Good find by Bob.

That pic looks like it was taken before kick off because there were more there, up on the top right after kick-off. Couldn't move and standing in the isles.
