Fatbury thinks that he is a great player who needs the right club and that we are that club, that will do for me!

Interesting one, he must surely have something about him to get so many games at a higher level.
Trevor Benjamin played in the Prem and cost Leicester a sizeable fee. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trevor_BenjaminA lot of managers look for a template player in the Prem.....needs to be strong, run quickly, and kick the ball hard. Any football brain is a bonus, and will elevate the individual into the high transfer bracket. A classic Villa example is Agbonlahor.....very quick had 3 seasons out of 11 where he reached double figures, 13 being the best. Of course capped by England despite being a very limited footballer. Maybe Villa thought Nathan D would be like this, perhaps he's the nous but lacks the physicality. Certainly Power/Williams will look for a footballer first and athlete second, should be interesting.

If you type journeyman pro into Wikipedia does it just take you to Trevor Benjamin's page?

Watched Delfouneso a few times while he was at Blackpool. He looked a fairly average player, but was in a well-below-average team. He played quite wide most of the time which goes some way to explaining his lack of goals. I doubt he'll be prolific for us but it's another body in, of a reasonable standard, which is a positive.

I think he's a good addition. I am hoping he'll be similar in the way Obika plays. Spending 85% of his time with his back to goal holding the ball up and bringing others into play.

If he is indeed quick, as the Blackpool forum I had a look at suggests the hopefully he can play back to goal and also try to break the line. Would be good to be able to vary phases of play, keep teams guessing.

Delfouneso's scoring record will obviously attract criticism but I think his strength and power up front could suit our style of play perfectly. Might be a case of him being able to play a role that suits both him and us in a way that hasnt happened yet in his career.
The signings of Norris and Delfouneso makes us far less dependent on Obika bring fit; a definite lesson learnt from last season.

I read he's not bad in the air as well so offers us pace, strength and ability in the air.
Of course all this is heresay so hopefully he comes good on the pitch. At 25, he really needs to kick on in his career. Hopefully it's here.

We look to have a load of attacking options even with JO & LN out and possibly Anderson still to come in.
Just need that elusive left sided CB if possible, although JSW looks improved after a full pre season, but probably a decent backup if anyone does comes in.

Never mind the 4-6-0 at Gills, how about a 0-4-6 "false no 5" system for Vale? We may be forced to play this?
