Could have gone on to have had a very good career, cracking player.

We would've made the playoffs if he'd been fit the whole season.

Mason was the pick of the 3 Spurs lads. Some favoured Pritchard but not me, Mason was brilliant at running the ball from defence to attack. Was also a hard worker and a team player. As Tans says, the Crewe game and his hat trick was decent. Its such a shame when you see a decent lad like Mason have to finish his career early. I hope he makes a success of whatever he goes on to do.

I think the ‘three’ were Luongo, Byrne and Parrett but your point very much stands.
Pritchard and Mason (and permanent signings of Mass, Byrne and Barthram) came in during the ‘WE ARE NOT FECKING SPURS B AND NEVER WILL BE! ARGGGGGHHHHH!’ period that followed shortly afterwards.
I thoroughly enjoyed that Crewe game and wish he finished the second penalty too.

The three I was referring to were Pritchard, Mason and Hall. All on loan at the same time.

Wish him well for the future. The hat trick v Crewe and particularly the goal at Wolves were memorable.
Arguably, that team was maybe better than the one that did make the playoffs.

Yeah, I thought Hall was pretty decent defender. He's sustained Championship football so not doing too bad.

Shame about Mason, clearly talented. Hope that neurologically, things are much better than anything else and it's just a matter of having to retire from football. Shame but I hope he goes on to have a healthy life, and a long one at that.

Sad news, and wish him all the best for the future.
My best Ryan Mason story - I'm sure everyone has one - came after a dismal 2-1 defeat away at Oldham in Oct 2013. I'd stopped at motorway services somewhere outside Birmingham, and noticed a chap wearing a Town top to my left while washing my hands in the gents. Without looking up, and assuming him to be another fan, I said something like 'Well wasn't that a f###ing shambles?' He didn't reply. But when I did look up short while later he was looking a little sheepish.
Sorry Ryan.

we signed Mohammed El Gabas that day he scored the hatrick. ah memories.
loved mason and massive shame. almost quite unheard of to retire that early from the top nowadays. my mason regret is that he didn't turn up for the sponsors evening and instead watched man Utd v Bayern Munich! Pritchard made up for that though that night. funny lad
