Anyone remember Dean Hooper. He was lightning quick, but useless
See Miles Storey. Think Woolery will be used wide. Probably in Brophy's position - after all that flank needs pace with the 'stable but slow' Purkiss behind.

Happy to inject some much needed pace into this team. Should help stretch defences.
Intrigued to see where DF sees him playing positionally. Will we still be after a striker like he stated last week?
Thierry Henry started out as a pacy wide man, who moved inside, to be more of a striker. So did the new Thierry Henry.... Eric Sabin

That is a rather large sum of money. Hope it pays off.

The Forest Green forum is an interesting read. They all state how great he was, how he holds hero status and how they all wanted him back. The prodical son and so on.......... That is until he signs for us. Then it's he's not worth near that amount, yeah his goals in the final were good but he wasn't all that, we can get better than him. Blimey I thought we had some strange fans!! Would love him to score a hat full against them, this is what you could have had. Welcome KW.

With signings such as this and our general policy this summer I do wonder how much influence Williams did have and whether he convinced Power that he build a team of youngsters. Aren't there rumours Williams used to be friends with a lot of the players and have them round to play FIFA and what not. I'm not sure his relationship with the players was healthy and whether he was actually capable of managing adults who were willing to speak their mind and signings reflected that. Increasingly I find myself thinking Williams has a lot more influence on our poor recruitment than any of us thought.

He was a free transfer.... I would imagine Connell is our biggest league 2 transfer fee although not sure what we paid for Foderingham as imagine that was £100k+

Yh iv soon realised that website (although looking quite good and detailed) is a load of shit. I went into each year and posted the figures and people have been commenting all of these others players we signed for money which jogged my memory and aren't on there. I should have clocked the sturrock one Edit. Dodgy site says £153k Connell and £99k Wes

Eric Sabin Let's not forget that whilst Sabin's goals were few and far between, the penalties he won for Keith O'Halloran to convert early in whatever season that was were almost definitely probably important. I remember their being a few. I don't know anything about this guy though.

To be fair, 3000 for them is like us having a crowd of 100,000.

So what else do we think is needed, player wise? We seem to have pretty good cover over most of the pitch now, so I'm expecting maybe 1 or 2 more loans in and that's it.
