If you have never seen The Deer Hunter, drop what you are doing in an hour from now and tune in to ITV1. And make some coffee. It's a long one.

Awesome film. I remember it being awesome, about four hours long, and the first scene in a snowy shack bar lasting about an hour alone.

The theme deserves its own special mention.
The only other film I can think of where the music makes as perfect a backdrop is The Godfather.

I'd like that as my ringtone Oh, The good, the bad and the ugly theme is another classic.

Generation Kill on Blu-ray. Really really enjoyed that. Watching the killing season 2 at the moment, not bad at all.

Great program on BBC4 last night retracing the career of the Rap group Public Enemy.
Still together today it has been a rocky ride but like them or not it was a great program.
