That, if true, is beyond bizarre.

Junior Lewis has signed already as coach.

Surprised Peter Taylor didn't get him.

I'm struggling to think of a more bizarre managerial appointment - maybe when Ron Noades appointed himself manager at Brentford ( but got them promoted ) or John Barnes / Jason McAteer dream ticket at Tranmere. There was Diaz at the Scummers for a few days was also weird. Anyone think of others.

Wilf McGuinness who went from York to Man Utd?
Thinking about it, he may have actually gone the other way

Looking at his career, Ramon Diaz to Oxford United has to be up there...

Claude le Roy at Cambridge in 2004 has to be up there....he then made way for his sidekick Herve Renard.
le Roy's list starts out with a Somali al-qaeda mob Al Shabab, then Cameroon, Senegal, Malaysia, a return to the Roons, Strasbourg, Shanghai, Cambridge, DR Congo, Ghana, Oman, Syria, back to DR Congo, and now at the undemocratic Congo.
I originally thought it may have been Power who appointed le Roy, but research proved otherwise, which was a shame.

That was him was it? I remember that shot. One of their defenders stayed down for some reason after the goal and I shouted: "What's wrong with him? Shock?" My shining wit still makes me laugh now.
