I haven't read most of this thread so forgive me if it's already been discussed, but I'm not having any of this "oh well, it was a last-minute wondergoal" stuff.

1. J. Smith should've closed the player down and never let him get a shot away from such a ridiculous position.
2. P. Smith shouldn't have been caught so far off his line...again.

True, but 9 times out of 10 shots like that don't even get close to the back of the net. It was a complete fluke.

I wouldn't blame P.Smith for their 2nd, but i do think J.Smith should have got to his man and snuffed out the danger.

MacNamee was very poor. Even when he did get the ball he failed to pass his man or get a cross in of any quality. And it's becoming a regular occurrence...

I never thought Id hear the day that Herthab says Pook is the best central midfielder we had ... but It was of course true ..

My overall opinion was that the sooner we get a new manager in the better - 3 points out of 9 under Byrne (2 of the games at home!) is going to get us relegated!

Don't misquote me.

I said Pook was the best central midfielder on the pitch last night.

Given that the other two were Peacock (Shite) and Nalis (Slow and shite) it's pretty faint praise.

(That said, he has been quite good in the last few games)

Another way to look at it is 3 games unbeaten and something to build on.

I'm not sure what the answer is for whoever is ultimately manager. Obviously conceded less goals. But how. I don't know what else is left to try in that department.

Thought it was a shit game, where the biggest surprise was there was 4 goals from very few chances.

McGovern, whillst hardly being ace, at least contributed some decent balls last night.  his ball to J smith was probably the best pass i've seen from a town player this season.

Our central mid was terrible last night. pook seems to be slipping back to his old ways, and peacock was no better.

Cox was offside, but the deflection came off a Peterborough player, no?

One good goal and one dodgy goal apiece tonight.

I'm was straight in line with the second goal.

When the original shot came in Cox was level, therefore onside.

When the shot was blocked and deflected to Cox, yes he was ahead of the Boro defender but CANNOT be offside because the final touch was by the Peterborough player.

So therefore the Peterborough players just do not know the rules of the game they play !!!

Listened to the game on the Radio.

First time I have heard Fitton speak - What an eloquent intelligent guy with a good sense of humour (his joke about Byrne's teamtalk made me laugh).

And Jamie Vincent, please get fit soon, sorry fella but you are probably the most boring person I have ever heard on a radio!!

Good ol' Aunty Beeb...

Quote
Shaun Batt's last-minute wonder strike earned Peterborough a draw at Swindon and extended their unbeaten league run to 13 games.

Swindon went ahead after 10 minutes through Jack Smith's smart finish.

Posh were quickly level when Jon-Paul McGovern deflected George Boyd's cross into his own net, but Simon Smith put Swindon back in front after 81 minutes.

As Swindon scented victory, Batt took a ball from keeper Joe Lewis and sent a right-foot volley past Phil Smith.

the second half was so boring - Im so glad I took my Heat magazine!

I was also dissapointed with
a) selfish oafs in the winners hogging all the tables so we couldnt sit down to eat our curry chips and pint!
b) Nicolas boyfriend is a scrawn bag - her boobs must be bigger than him

"Batt took a ball from keeper Joe Lewis and sent a right-foot volley past Phil Smith. "

I must have missed this. I thought He took it from a throw in after Nallis cocked up and ran the ball out of play.

I thought it was a crap game.
To be honest we only just deserved a draw.
Peacock and Pook were wank imo, Timlin had a good game i thought.
