Wellens must be close to appearing in this thread now, just to put it into perspective how poor he has made Salford they've won less games in 2021 than us!

His Salford record is actually fairly similar to his Swindon one... Swindon win ratio 42.2%, Salford 40.7%

Since the start of this year -
Salford have 4W 5D 5L.
Swindon have 4W 2D 8L.

TBH Wellens wins that one too.

Not really worth comparing different league and different results

He's pretty lucky to still be in post with those stats (28.5% win ration), I wasn't aware it was going so piss poorly for them.

But he still has only a 35% loss ratio where as Sheridactyl has a loss ratio of 57% over the same timescale.

Huge disparity in the quality of player available to both. RW was dealing with a huge injury crisis for a period.

Who could've predicted an injury crisis after signing a full team of injury prone players?

It was more the point that Salford are an ambitious club with a plan and money and owners who aspire to move the club forward and thus are likely to be more trigger happy, we on the other hand are a basket case going down the shitter, with no clue, ambition or money you are comparing apples and rotten pears.

When doing those stats I notice from the ever great http://www.swindon-town-fc.co.uk/ that our next league goal will be our 6,000th, fingers crossed we can get it before the end of the season.

Brett Brett, Brett, Brett, Brett Pitman, Brett Pitman run from his own half

I think that's only ever going to work if we have an upcoming game against the Chelsea Pensioners?

I’d take Wellens over Sheridan but still think Wellens got lucky with the large majority of last seasons signings coming good and one of those being a striker in the purplest of purple patches which he, nor anyone else will ever replicate.

...but...I feel I’ve done that subject to death now.

Paul "lower league clogger" Mullin is currently "doing a Doyler" at Cambridge. It's ridonculous. I'm bloody happy for him though. Some cracking goals as well as some sniffers too. Playing like a L2 Coxy.

It shows that confidence and belief in a player can be a huge key to performance. Or instead you just bring off two players (one captain) who play the same position with 4mins to go, to instill confidence in them. Especially when in one breath it's revealed there is a confidence issue within the squad, and in the next breath "THEY ARE NOT CHILDREN".

Lot's of ways to skin a cat. I believe the current Town set up is into a tin pot. Clowns.

He's another one of those players that in my head should be about 40 now and you will tell me he's about 29....

26

I don't know why you'd think he was that old.

I always did like him as a player. Good to see he's doing well.
