I have no major opinion on Sol Campbell but, within football, is there anything massively wrong with having a high opinion of yourself? The key for me is as long as it's backed up with performance.
We've had guarded managers and we've had Paolo Di Canio who had an ego and the confidence of a man you had won everything 10 times over.

TBH with Sol Campbell love him or hate him hes not in line to be our next manager as it stands so its all a bit irrelevant really.
Yes he may apply, he may not apply, Sheridan may be kept on if we stay up or down if the ownership battle is not sorted anyway.
FWIW I think Sol is a twat but I would take him over our current incumbent probably if it came down to it even though he failed miserably at Southend with only 4 wins in 23 games and only a career of masterminding 12 wins in a 53 game managerial career and an overall win rate of just 22% which is lower than Sheirdans since he has been in charge at Swindon.

This has all come from my post about Sol Campbell, and that is as stated just my opinion.
I don't particularly like the guy or his personality, don't rate the guy (outside of playing) and don't want him to manage Swindon - this is all based on my own perceptions over the past few years. Nothing else, not his colour, not the teams he was involved with, just plain old opinion.
I am not worried about other having theirs.

I've just had a look on the Salford forum and they ain't happy (all 5 of them).
They're four points adrift now and others around them have games in hand. I reckon their impatient owners will think there's still time to get into the playoffs (there is) if they make a change. The pressure must really be on him.
