This is not a criticism of Fallon as a player because I think he's quite good at what he does. It's just that what he does best doesn't suit us and what we do best doesn't suit him and I can't see that situation changing or at least, not in the short term. I can only assume that Jackett has this type of tactic as a long term aim but, at the moment, it is making us a one dimensional team when we weren't before.

Looks like decent bit of business to me as wellMaster Russell.  Like the Iffmonger says it's only a matter of time before the Peacock starts getting a few more goals and we have a decent balance of play up front.

Still, it would be nice to see a few more come from throughout the side.  O'Hanlon's good for a couple but it would be nice to see Shakes an ex-striker and fairly good one by all accounts get a few as well as Gurney to get a few more towards his usual tally.

Yeah he scored 14, we thank him but didn't you get sick and tired of the same old long balls to him every match. It got very repetitive as i'm sure some of you would agree.

there is a difference between hoofball and direct football..alot of people say bolton play hoofball yet the stats from my nuts magazine  show they are 4th in the league for playing the most short passes..if i heard right dv85 we created another 2 chances like the goal is this hoofball or is it effective direct football

Ummm yes it is....where is the difference.

Both including getting the ball and lumping it forward.

It was hoofball when Fallon was here, now its direct football because he has gone?
