Reading the Oxford Mail on friday i noticed a write up on OUFC's fans forum.
One question asked by a U's fan was
''Why did we miss out on Lee Peacock to Swindon'' ?
Brian Talbot replied....
''I don't think it's acceptable for a player in our league to be earning £120,000 a year''.
So that works out at roughly £2300 a week!
No wonder he's allways smiling!

If the figures are correct (lets not forget our negotiations would have been different, so he might have asked for more to drop down another league), then that will be his maximum earnings taking into account all possible bonuses he could earn. So he'll hardly ever earn that, especially with us!
