i'm not sure ljungberg is in the same league as pires and robben either agreed. BWB you dont make any sense. According to you we should ignore Robben being a diving cheating little prick and just worship his (admittidly excellent) skills. Then you call Henry a cunt despite him being the best player in the country and considered by many (including me) to be an excellent role model. Face it mate, you're a chelsea glory boy. You really need to come to terms with that I'm not particularly bothered what most people think of Robben, it's only my personal view that he's a great player, I'm not trying to convert anyone to my way of thinking, I'm not really that bothered. Yes he may have the same annoying tendency as many foreign players to cheat but I just like watching him play, simple as that. I don't like watching Henry play because he annoys me and he plays for a team I hate, now you might think that's irrational but that's football, it's no more irrational than hating Robben. The only team I really care about is Swindon, there are a couple of other teams I follow, Spurs for example. Chelsea aren't one of them but I am grateful to them for ending the Man United/Arsenal duopoly because it was pissing me off. |

stupidity should be stamped out. we're not talking about the abilities of the players, we're talking about how they act. and rooney is a thug, henry is a gentleman. therefore you're a living embodyment of stupidity and someone will be round soon to put you out of your misery Rooney is one of the most exciting young players to play for England in ages possibly as long as I can remember. I like him because I'm English and so an England fan. I would love to see Walcott for example have a similar impact to Rooney's had because he looks like an incredible footballer, just gutted he went to Arsenal but I'm not going to hate him for it because he's English. If Rooney was foreign I'd probably hate him but he's not, so to be honest I don't care whether he's a thug, if he helps England win stuff he will be a legend. |

the whole issue is with the way people act, not the way they play. rooney does not play in a sporting manner, nor does robben. henry does. reyes doesn't, pires doesn't, blackburn don't etc.
there's no doubting rooney is a good player, just other than the skills he has he's a cunt. but that was not the issue raised.

that is all I can't believe you're getting so pissed off just because I don't like an Arsenal player and not even an English one. You can insult every Spurs player I don't mind and I certainly don't give a fuck if you insult any Chelsea players but I won't necessarily agree with you because I hate Arsenal more than I hate Chelsea, I don't see why anyone should have a problem with that, everyone hates different teams. I am 100% a Swindon fan, if I wanted to be a glory hunter I'd have got an Arsenal or Man United season ticket a few years back but I don't I just like to see them fail. Henry is a good player to watch yes but I just don't like him, combination of playing for Arsenal, just seeming generally arrogant whatever he's just not a player I like. |

rooney does not play in a sporting manner I disagree, I think Rooney's temperament is a positive. He plays with a lot of passion and you can see he cares when he plays for England and I have a lot of respect for that. He might be a bit of a thug but there's nothing wrong with the odd thug, to be honest if football was full of perfect gentleman I don't think it would be as interesting, it's part of the sport. Now I never said I agree with how Robben acted and if he'd been booked for that, that would've been fair enough certainly a lot fairer than just for scoring but I don't think he's a particularly unsporting player in general. |

I'll have to chage sides on the Rooney arguement as I think hes a legend. I'm sat here in an England shirt with Rooney on the back  For me cheating by attempting to break someones legs/face is so much better than cheating by falling over like a big girl and crying. |
